Everything we have come to expect from an excellent hotel. Our suite was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious with local produce..... We also chose to dine with friends from the village in the restaurant on Friday night. The food was superb in every way with locally sourced ingredients where possible and seasoned well showing the chef team have a deft touch .... our meal was paired with an excellent pinot noir from the cellar at a very reasonable £27 per bottle.. I enjoyed a the chef's amuse bouche of tempora oyster, the confir duck waffles, a perfectly cooked "bleu" steak from the local beef herd, with the cheese board and homemade crackers to finish. We stayed here before Covid, and will be back again soon.

We have stayed here before and chose to stay again after a wine tasting at the local Waddesdon Manor. In this case the wine tasting was more a presentation about the origins of Rothschilds wine, an interesting tour of the wine cellar, and visitors only got to sample two glasses of their good wines, so we could have driven home. But we had already booked our room so we stayed. Five Arrows is a nice country hotel, built in the same attractive style as much of the older part of the village, and its comfortable inside. Good for a short stay or after visiting the manor. Staff were all friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Andrew

We thought the room was only semi-quiet but what with the road and the garden in use with customers and a wedding party there was never going to be a quiet option. The room was well blinded and curtained to keep out the worst of the heat. The duvet was suitable for the temperature and the bed comfortable. No noise from other guests in bedrooms although the hotel was probably full. Breakfast was fine. We enjoyed our walk around the Manor grounds but did not have time, due to another fixture, to go around the house.

From the moment I arrived, I felt so looked after! The staff were friendly and helpful, room was lovely with nice touches. I was there on business and enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening on my return. The bed was super comfy, shower was nice and hot and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. I had forgotten to order toast as I was rushing the day before, but Angus realised this and still brought some toast with my breakfast before I asked!

Rebecca

The hotel was perfectly situated for our visit to Waddesdon Manor and Ascott House. The breakfasts, and all other meals were of a high quality and served by a welcoming and accommodating staff. The en-suite bedroom was beautifully furnished with a good range of facilities. The manager, Adam, was very obliging and helpful; his delight in his work and his colleagues was obvious and well founded.
